Some Folks You’ll Want to Meet

You may know Mosaic is in the middle of a year-long initiative called “Be One of the 100.” We are trusting God for 100 new community group leaders across our campus over the course of 2026, and we are so thankful for so many who have said yes so far…we are just over halfway to our goal!

Without further ado, here are a number of our newest community groups and the leaders who are stepping up to lead! Across Austin, these folks have said “yes” to creating spaces where others can build meaningful relationships and grow in their faith.

We asked each of these community group leaders to tell us a few things about themselves, and their answers were packed with personality. Put altogether…you can definitely see how they are “making a Mosaic!”

First up are Oji and Ezinne Udezue

You’re likely to find them gathering over crepes at Vivel Crepes in Lakeway or catching a comedy show around town. They love when Austin is buzzing with life; walking the streets, people watching, and taking in all the sights and fun during SXSW and ACL.

If you have a joke to share, Ezinne is a lover of all things punny, while Oji is a bibliophile to the max and definitely has a book recommendation (or two! Or three!).

Next we have Brooke & Justin Jaskowiak + Keith & Terri-Ann Boykin

This group has no shortage of things they love to do. Terri-Ann and Keith enjoy getting outside on local trails or camping, trying new restaurants, and exploring bike trails. Keith even wants to get into overlanding! Terri-Ann, on the other hand, could rewatch Glee or Harry Potter anytime! Brooke is all about pools, the Blue Hole, live theater, painting, and she also enjoys talking to animals! And Justin? His favorite place is wherever the people are, whether that’s a brewery, community pool, golf course, or someone’s house. He’s also a big fan of live sports – his kid’s games included – and he just finished his PhD this year!

Nikki & Richard Pilcher + Becky & Charles Emmanuel

Pflugerville has pfun too! Nikki loves ice cream and exploring hiking and biking trails, while Richard is happiest at home, gaming, or getting outside to train! Becky loves a long bike ride or hike followed by a swim, good food, and live blues or jazz. Plus, she can speak three languages! Charles loves watching sports, go-kart racing, and dreams of having a space to both make music and paint.

Carrie Stephens & Andrea Henderson

Two women with some pretty awesome stories. Andrea loves a good walk through the park (when it’s not too hot!) and (humorously) enjoys the distinction of being the fastest girl in her school district in seventh grade. Carrie enjoys hiking Mount Bonnell, “if you can call that hiking,” and nannied for famous Hollywood families while in college. Have fun guessing which ones!

And yes, they both have strong opinions about where to meet up: Andrea says Cedar Park Cafe is the best local spot in Cedar Park, while Carrie votes for Summer Moon Coffee.

Claire Bresil & Ama Koram

Claire and Ama love bringing people around the table, whether that means gathering at home or at one of their favorite local spots. Ama loves cycling and walking Austin’s many trails. She’s traveled to every continent except Antarctica, largely in pursuit of food and culture. Claire is a runner who also loves exploring Austin’s parks and routes. When she’s at home, you might find her crocheting.

Patsy Crawford

For many, this incredible leader needs no introduction! Ms. Patsy loves a trip to the Cheesecake Factory, enjoys a round of miniature golf, and has been writing poetry for years. In fact, several of her poems were published in a literary magazine back in the ’80s. We think that deserves a round of applause!

Darrell, Sarah & Mitch

Darrel, Sarah, and Mitch are bringing a variety of Austin favorites to the table. Darrel loves pop-up concerts and Mediterranean food. Sarah enjoys walks around Lady Bird Lake and learning new languages, especially so she can connect with people in their native language. Mitch is a fan of social run clubs and has enjoyed solo trips to Toronto and Mexico City.

Put them all together, and you’ve got a group with plenty of ways to get out, explore Austin, and connect with people.

We’re grateful for every person who has said yes to making room for more people to find community. We hope you’ll get to know these leaders, check out their groups, and maybe find a place you can connect with others and grow in your faith.
