What is Christmas Under the Stars?
Christmas Under the Stars is a brand new Mosaic South holiday tradition!
When is it?
Sunday evening, December 14, from 5:30 to 7:30.
Who is invited?
Everyone from Mosaic, including folks from our north campus. If you have never visited the south campus, this would be a great time to check it out and see the miracle that it is! Especially if you have children, this would be a fun holiday moment to experience.
What will happen?
Held outdoors on our property, there will be a canopy of light display over the parking lot in the front of the church. For both kids and adults, there will be smores, hot chocolate, and prayer request stations, and of course, tons of food around fire pits. For kids, there will be both craft and outdoor movie stations, along with yard games.
What can I do to help?
While we do need a handful of volunteers for set up and take down; what we really need…is chili.
There is a fun chili contest you can enter your pot into, or you can just bring your favorite recipe to share. Cornbread and desserts are needed as well!
Why are we doing this?
By creating a public celebration of Christmas on our property in South Austin, we hope to continue to communicate a welcoming and hospitable presence to the surrounding community. And we’ve invited the neighborhood to join us for the evening!
South Campus has gone to two services this fall and continues to be a vibrant, growing congregation!
Should I go to this, and make it a part of my Christmas traditions?
Of course you should. đŸ™‚
You can sign up to participate here, or just come!
