| Hi everyone, As you have likely heard if you have been at Mosaic over the past few months, we have been in the process of adding six new elders to our elder team (here they are in alphabetical order): Alvin Brown David DeStefano Colby May Brett Millican Tina Miranda Rosalynn Smith A little more than a month ago, our current elder team presented these candidates before the church and opened a 30-day window for church members to provide feedback about them. We are happy to report that all six of them will be confirmed this coming Sunday, June 28. This will be an historic Sunday, and I’m asking you to be present and bear witness to the moment! Joining us for the weekend will be Bishop Brett Fuller, Chairman of the Board of Every Nation (our global family of churches) as well as a Global Apostolic Team Member and a member of EN’s North American Leadership Team. Brett will be preaching all three services at Mosaic North, which will be streamed to our South campus. He is an outstanding communicator and a gift to the body of Christ (he will also speak at our Men’s Night tonight). Each candidate will be present both North and South at some point for each service at each campus, as will John Loyd and Gaylen Washington, current and longstanding Mosaic Elders. So, no matter which service or campus you attend, multiple candidates will be present with you. My hope is that the addition of these elder team members will continue to expand our capacity to care for God’s people at Mosaic, as well as to expand our mission in the city and beyond. On a personal note, this will be a very emotional day for me and for our current elders. We have worked both publicly and privately on this expansion for roughly two and a half years, after working to shepherd Mosaic together since 2012. I can’t tell you how meaningful this milestone is for me, and for us, and how thankful I am for Dr. John Loyd and Gaylen Washington. Will you make plans to join your church family this Sunday? I hope to see you there as we take our next step forward together. In faith, Morgan Stephens, DMin Lead Pastor |
