our story
Mosaic Church began in 1995 under the name Morningstar Christian Church, with a particular focus on reaching collegiate and professional athletes. In 2005 Morningstar transitioned to new leadership and adopted a new name, Christ Community Church, to reflect a broader concern for the city. Its current facility was purchased in 2007 and the church relocated to 12675 Research Blvd in Northwest Austin.
In 2010, the church sought new leadership once more, and Pastor Morgan Stephens relocated back to Austin as the church overhauled its mission, vision, and values. After five years of steady growth, the church was renamed as Mosaic Church to reflect its longstanding racial and ethnic diversity, and in 2017 it rejoined the Every Nation global family of churches.
Since then, Mosaic has experienced dramatic growth, has planted several churches around the city and state, and continues to see God’s goodness and grace at work.
location & parking
Our main worship center is in the entrance off of Hwy 183.
When you arrive you'll see the parking lot closest to the main building coned off. The cars belong to many of our volunteers, and the cones prevent the mixing of pedestrian and automobile traffic in that small space. Look to park in our middle parking lot, or in the lot next to the Student Center. You'll want to get there early, though, as the parking lot fills up quickly.
kids
Our children's ministry, known as mKids, is located to the left of the main building. You'll see some steps that lead to a walkway between the two buildings. When you enter our mKids space you will be greeted by one of our volunteers who will greet you and help with registration. We also have our All-Abilities team if you happen to have a little one in need of additional support. If you'd like to register your child beforehand you can do so using this button.
youth
Our middle and high school students meet in our other building, across the parking lot off of Jekel Circle. You'll see a black awning labeled Mosaic Students. Once you enter the double doors the Student Center is located at the end of the long hallway directly in front of you. Someone from our team will greet you and get your student checked in and connected.
free coffee
As you make your way into our lobby you will see our Mosaic Coffee Bar located just past our Connections Table. We invite you to pick up a free latte, cappuccino, or Americano. Or make your way over to our self-serve area where you will also find regular drip coffee, Chai Tea, and hot cocoa. Then head over to our bookstore to check out some great titles.
