| “Ah, this takes me back.” I know, I know. Clickbait for sure, especially on Father’s Day weekend. But speaking of taking us back, have you heard about Mosaic’s Epic Men’s Night 2? We are running it back next Friday night! I am as excited about this event as any we have ever done here, and I’d like to give you a few reasons to consider attending, if you haven’t signed up already! 1. Great food from 3 local food truck options (this year, we are cutting down those food lines!) 2. Upgraded ridiculous parking lot games (prizes for winners, and for…”non-winners”) 3. Music from our Mosaic Team 4. A bunch of other powerful men gathered and rooting for you to be great in life 5. You’ll hear from Pastor Brett Fuller, a legendary figure within Every Nation. Here’s a quick, but definitely shortened bio: Brett Fuller is the presiding Bishop of Every Nation’s family of churches in the metropolitan Washington DC area, that fall under the umbrella of the Grace Covenant Church’s purview. He also served as Chaplain of the Washington Commanders for 23 seasons. From 2005 to 2014 he served as Chaplain for the National Association of Basketball Coaches. In 2000, he initiated a bill in Congress to build a memorial honoring the African American Slaves who helped build America. Though the bill was never passed, he still hopes to complete the mission. From 2007-2009 he served on President George Bush’s Advisory Board for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Earlier this year, he received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award for Global Unity. He joins a distinguished group of previous recipients, including General Colin Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State; Kofi Annan, former Secretary-General of the United Nations; and John Lewis, U.S. Congressman. Pastor Brett has written two devotionals: “Live Well”, and “Relate Well” and recently published two books: Dreaming in Black and White and High Ceilings. He and his lovely wife of 39 years, Cynthia, frequently conduct marriage and family seminars. Brett also coordinates relational and professional development seminars, helping leaders in every walk of life to become better leaders. He and Cynthia reside in Chantilly, VA, have parented 7 children and have been blessed with 3 wonderful daughters-in-law, 1 son-in-law, and 2 granddaughters. Simply put, Pastor Brett is amazing and I count it an honor to know him and to have him with us for the weekend. Oh, and I almost forgot…the price is only $5 for all this, if you register by 11:59 PM tonight. So don’t wait, click here and join all those who have already registered (or, register a friend, or register someone who hasn’t registered yet…they will thank you!). I look forward to seeing you there. Epically yours, Morgan Stephens, DMin Lead Pastor P.S. Also, to whoever stole my copy of Microsoft Office…I will find you. You have my Word. Would you like to hear a joke about paper? Never mind. It’s tearable. Seriously, I’m going to stop now. See you there! |
