| Mosaic Church Family, At the beginning of this year, Mosaic shared a bold vision: to see 100 new community group leaders equipped and empowered by the end of the year. The initiative “Be One of the 100” was never meant to be a church-growth campaign. It’s a people-growth movement rooted in discipleship. And it’s built on the belief that God has already placed leaders in our church who are ready to be developed and sent out for His glory. Just a few months in, we’re already seeing that vision take shape. Earlier this season, 52 people across Mosaic completed our Mosaic Communities Leader Development Course. Men and women, young and old, single and married, all stepped forward to explore what it might look like to help lead others in community. That alone is worth celebrating! But the story doesn’t stop there. Since finishing the course, 12 new leaders have already said yes to launching community groups. Some will co-lead existing groups, strengthening communities already gathering across our city. Others are preparing to launch brand-new groups, creating spaces where people can build relationships, grow in faith, and experience the mission of Jesus together. And many more are on the way. Several of the 52 participants are preparing to launch groups by the end of the spring. As these leaders step into this calling, we invite you to pray for them by name, encourage them, and show up for them. Starting a group is exciting but it also takes courage, faith, and support from the church family. Be One of the 100 Leaders/Co-leaders: – Phillip Haun – Chris Cotty – Carolyn Rivas – Justice Obioha – Morgan Stephens – Jordan Martin – Patsy Crawford – Mitch Blue – Cornelius Chopin – Kayla Hemphill – Colin Hemphill – Giovanni Mastronardi And as we celebrate these new leaders, let’s also continue praying for the many, many already faithful community group leaders who have been shepherding people week after week for years. Their quiet, consistent leadership has built the foundation that makes a vision like this possible. When we first launched this initiative, we shared a few convictions:We believe we are called to equip the saints for the work of ministry. We believe in the valuable ministry of every member. We believe there are people among us waiting to be developed to lead. And we know there are many people here looking for connection and belonging. We still believe every word of that. Which is why we’re asking a simple question: Could you be next? You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t need a theology degree or to be a perfect Bible teacher. What you need is a willing heart and a desire to invite people to walk with you in this life of faith. We’ll help with the rest. This is what it looks like when Mosaic’s mission comes alive in the everyday lives of everyday people. We’re incredibly proud of every person who has already stepped forward. And while the goal may have seemed ambitious at first, we’re trusting God to raise up 88 more leaders in the months ahead. More disciples. More relationships. More of Jesus in our city and in our lives. We can’t wait to see what God does next. Next Steps: Interested in being one of the 100? Our next Mosaic Communities Leader Development Course begins March 29, and we would love for you to join us. The course is designed to help you explore what it looks like to lead a community group and how God might use you to create spaces of connection and discipleship. Check out this video for a glimpse of what you can expect in the course. And yes, snacks will be included (this is for sure an FAQ!). Not ready to lead a group, but looking to join one? Community groups are one of the best ways to build relationships and grow in faith at Mosaic. You can explore available groups and find one near you in our Community Group Directory.
