This is Worth Celebrating

Hi Mosaic family,

Last year, we began praying and believing for something big: how do we strengthen and multiply our leaders here at Mosaic? To answer this, we launched a year-long, church-wide initiative called Be One of the 100.

We have set out to equip and empower 100 new leaders to lead or co-lead community groups so we can make more space to make disciples.

But with that said, this vision has never been just about numbers. It has always been about people.

It’s about:
– The person who walks into Mosaic looking for a place to belong.
– The family who needs others to walk with them through a hard season.
– The new believer who needs a community where they can grow in Christ.
– The longtime follower of Jesus who is ready to be equipped, strengthened, and sent out on mission.

Maybe you’re thinking: “Cori, this is great… but where are we with the numbers? It is, after all, called ‘Be One of the 100!’”

Thank you so much for asking!

From our Q1 Community Leader Development Course, we’ve launched 18 new leaders, and 18 more are in the process of being launched by August from that same cohort.

That brings us to 36 new community group leaders! Which means we are 36% of the way to our goal.

And we aren’t done yet because God is continuing to move!

In our Q2 Community Leader Development Course, 20 participants have just completed the course and are now moving through our course exit interview process.

Church, this is worth celebrating!

We are watching God raise up men and women who are willing to say yes to making room for others. We are watching leaders step into the work of discipleship, hospitality, care, and mission. We are watching the body of Christ be built up as more people are equipped to be servant leaders.

And we believe there is still more ahead.

As we continue moving toward the vision of Be One of the 100, we want to invite anyone who is interested to take the next step.

You can sign up for our next Interest Meeting on July 26 to learn more about the initiative, or you can go ahead and register for our 5-week Mosaic Communites Leader Development Course, which begins on August 2.

Our hope is simple: that every person who comes to Mosaic would have a place to be known, loved, formed, and sent.

Thank you, Mosaic, for continuing to say yes to the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, community, and mission in a multiethnic, multigenerational context.

We are grateful for what God has done, and we are expectant for what He will continue to do.

With gratitude and faith,

Cori Sullivan
Pastor of Community

P.S. Some more good news: the weather looks like it’s going to hold out for us tomorrow! We can’t wait to see you at Mosaic Day at the Park.
