| Happy New Year, and welcome to 2026! I hope you and your loved ones had an amazing holiday season, and now that the New Year is upon us, I’d like to welcome you to what I am trusting will be an incredible year at Mosaic, as we love God, one another, and our city with all our heart, mind, strength, and resources this year. I am more convinced than ever that we are in the right place, at the right time, with the right people to make a huge impact, and each person reading this is crucial to the success of God’s mission on earth. Speaking of the word “Mission,” we are beginning the year by focusing on that word in two ways: 1.) Through our upcoming series, we are doing with our global Every Nation family for the month of January. In a series called The Mission: The Story of God’s Unfolding Purpose, we will be looking at:The Father’s LoveThe Son’s SacrificeThe Spirit’s PowerThe Church’s Mission…and how these ideas are expressed in a multiethnic, multigenerational context. 2.) Through our annual, church-wide, five-day January fast. Also done in concert with our global Every Nation family, we take five days (this coming Monday through Friday, January 5 – 9) to seek God through prayer, fasting, and most importantly: consecration. To consecrate means to set apart for God’s purposes, and we as humans need to do that on a regular basis…less for God’s sake, and more for our own. We need to remind ourselves that we are made for Him first, and life works best when lived under his loving rule. We will have prayer meetings daily at noon and 6 pm at both campuses here in Austin. A Zoom link is offered for the noon prayer time. We will conclude it all with a Night of Worship on Friday night, trusting God to move in a powerful way through our church and in our lives this year! My exhortation for you: Please come. Please pray. Please participate. For the sake of your own soul, for the sake of our nation, for the sake of our city, and for the sake of the Kingdom of God, please don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Please set aside as much time as you can, to make as many prayer meetings as you can, and believe as big as you can for great things in your life and church in 2026. Please put down the entertainment, turn off social media (it will still be there in a week, I promise), and please press in to what could be a breakthrough week for you. Let’s pray for the nations, let’s pray for our country, let’s pray for our neighbors and families! Don’t live life by accident. Live it on purpose and lean in with me. Now’s our time.
