| Thirty years in the books…on to the next thirty! Thank you to all who made last weekend, our Thirtieth Anniversary, a great one. From our super fun party on Saturday night (see longer recap videos below), to the original music on Sunday, to a meaningful message from Jim Laffoon about lessons to learn from five major Bible characters who turned thirty (you can watch it here or listen wherever you stream podcasts), my heart left feeling super full. And just in case you haven’t had a chance to give towards our one-week-only, Thirtieth Anniversary special offering, here is the link to be able to do so. Thank you to so many of you who gave in this way; I’m so proud of what God has done here and excited about our bright future together. As my friend, James Hinojosa says on our church prayer call every Friday morning, “The best is yet to come.” In Jesus, that is always, always true. WHAT’S NEXT? This Sunday at our South Campus (now at two services and still growing!) we will have our Second Annual Community Cookout. Volunteers are still needed for this free, open-to-the-public event in our South Campus parking lot. Sign up here to make it a great day! And…our annual Fall Fest, our biggest event of the year, is around the corner at our North Campus on Sunday, October 26th from 4-7 pm. It’s also our Director of Events Morgan Onochie’s 30th birthday…and you can bless her (as well as a whole lot of other people) by registering for a volunteer slot if you have not already. IT’S SUCH A FUN AFTERNOON! That’s it…I will see you Sunday as we pick up where we left off in our “We Have a Part to Play” series. We’ll be looking at the Gospel and our work. Can’t wait! See you soon! Dr. Morgan Stephens Lead Pastor |
