….1995, of course, being the year that Mosaic was planted. From a seed of a dream that began in an office building off of Steck and Mopac, to something that has now grown into three churches and that has planted many more, Mosaic has a rich, colorful, fruitful, and vibrant history. By the grace of God and your faithfulness, we are at the threshold of thirty years of Christian witness, worship, and ministry in Austin, Texas, and we want to celebrate this milestone with you! This coming weekend, as you’ve heard, is going to be memorable and emotional, as we host a high-energy Saturday night dinner and thank you for our volunteers and team members, with special guest, Pastor Jim Laffoon. There will be a unique “Mosaic Is For Austin” walk-through experience, with milestones and markers celebrating what God has done; games, prizes, a Q and A with our elder team, a thank you gift for everyone for being there, and a closing encouraging word from Pastor Jim. Sunday morning…our worship will primarily feature Mosaic-written originals, with a brand new song that will kick off our time, featuring a choir at Mosaic North. The choir will be singing from our very first moment together, instead of our traditional call to worship. If you are not in your seat, precisely on time, you’ll miss our new original song, combined with a Gospel hymn and our choir doing what our choir does…which is to lift your soul to sing to King Jesus. We will also receive communion together and watch a special thank you video from our many ministry friends around the city and country who want to wish us a Happy Birthday. Again, Pastor Jim will be preaching all three services at North, and those at South will be watching his message. You may remember that last time that Jim was here, he was able to visit our South campus, so he definitely has context and connection with both congregations. He will be sharing his encouraging perspective of where our church is, from his vantage point as the senior prophetic voice in Every Nation and a global leader in the body of Christ. This is a great, great, Sunday to invite a friend! As my friend and UT campus missionary, Peter Dusan, often says, “If you have plans already…you should totally break them and join us!” To God be the glory, great things he has done. Can’t wait to see you there! Dr. Morgan Stephens Lead Pastor P.S. Please be on time. 🙂 |
