Top 5 Things Coming Fall 2025 at Mosaic Church

1. NXT GEN Sunday (August 31st)
You read about this last week! Come in your school colors ready to celebrate our multigenerational community, with an eye towards what God is doing in the next generation, as we explore the power of “hitting the shuffle button.” Again, this is August 31, not this coming Sunday! 🙂

2. We Have a Part to Play
This new series, starting September 7, will be a twist on something we did a number of years ago at Mosaic. We will be taking a look at six crucial components of what it means to be shaped within, to impact the world without. It is based on groundbreaking doctoral research from my friend and colleague, Dr. Richard Kidger, and adapted for our context here.We will be making an exceptionally big deal about this “mini-campaign” on Sundays, and throughout the week in our smaller Mosaic Communities during September and October. You won’t want to miss the special video content and spiritual practices created for our small groups that will help us explore what playing our part in God’s mission is, and why it matters so much.

3. Mosaic Church’s 30th anniversary is the weekend of October 4-5, with special guest, Pastor Jim Laffoon
Many of you know Pastor Jim and his long-term impact on me and this church! There will be a Saturday night (October 4) celebratory dinner and meaningful presentation of a “trip down memory lane” for all our team members, volunteers, and leaders who register (unfortunately, there will be a cap, but we will let you know well ahead of time how to make it in).

4. Fall Festival is October 26th
This will be the concluding Sunday of “We Have a Part to Play.” That Sunday will also be the day we unpack a brand new and exciting initiative for 2026 that will propel us into our future and catalyze new ministry across the city. Finally, what you were all waiting for…

5. Annual Fall Fast is coming up September 10, 11, and 12
Please set those dates apart to fast and pray for yourself, your friends, and your family. We are trusting God to move in a significant way over this fall, and desire for you to be a part of it. As is our custom, we will conclude the fast with a special night of worship at both Mosaic North and South on Friday evening. Special devotional content will also be made available to encourage and focus you during this time.I could go on…but I will leave you with this:Come ready to encounter Jesus together not only this Sunday, but week in and week out. What we are doing, and who we are together, really matters and is making a big difference.

P.S. If you haven’t had a chance to add your voice to a fun survey that will help us for NXT GEN Sunday, you can do so here. Let us know about your favorite band, singer, and song from your era/generation.

Then submit a video naming something you enjoy about an older or younger generation!

P.P.S. And, get ready for a fun surprise this Sunday–it’s something we have been working on for the last few years behind the scenes (it could have been number 6 on the list)!
